The Meaning of Episteme

"Episteme" is a word derived from the Greek verb of epístamai, which means "to know" or "to understand". Notably, Aristotle used the term to describe the scientific division of knowledge, and a principled system of understanding. Here at Episteme Journal, we pride ourselves in delivering articles that encompass "episteme" - a conception that most effectively conveys the true identity of our journal.
